The 2014 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition just awarded our 2010 Bordeaux blend “Maquette” a “Best in Class” medal in the $30-$40 Bordeaux blend category, and if that wasn’t astounding enough  by itself, our 2010 Bentley Ironworks Cabernet Sauvignon won a “Double Gold” award in the $60 and up Cabernet category – a category historically dominated by Napa entrees, some priced as high as $160 a bottle.  Sculpterra was the only awarded cabernet from the Paso Robles appellation in this category.    And the competition itself?  5,825 wines from 1,500 wineries from 25 states.   This award is extra sweet. WOW!!!

YES – Paso Robles does great wines and great cabs.  YES – we can play with the Napa boys.   And YES – we can even beat Napa wines!   WOW!!!!
